Hee-Jung Song, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Food Science at the University of Maryland, College Park, with an Extension appointment in Family and Consumer Sciences. She is a public health nutritionist with expertise in developing, implementing, and evaluating nutrition interventions that address diet-related chronic conditions—including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and obesity among diverse and underserved populations.  

As part of her work, she developed and leads DASH-Plus, a University of Maryland Extension statewide program, and currently leads a USDA-funded produce prescription project.
